Government pledged decent housing for all

The Zimbabwean government is committed to providing safe and decent housing and infrastructure to its citizens in line with its Vision 2030 goals.

Yesterday, Minister of Information, Publicity, and Broadcasting Services, Dr. Jenfan Muswere, briefed journalists following a tour of the media center at the New Parliament Building in Mount Hampden. Dr. Muswere stated that President Mnangagwa is committed to ensuring that the people of Zimbabwe have access to safe and decent housing, in line with the rights guaranteed by the Zimbabwean Constitution.

The New Dispensation, and President Mnangagwa in particular, recognize the importance of the Zimbabwean Constitution and its guarantee of rights for the people. We are committed to upholding these rights and providing a better future for all Zimbabweans.

President Mnangagwa has consistently emphasized that his government is a people's government, dedicated to serving the needs of all Zimbabweans. He is a strong advocate for human rights and a servant leader who is determined to rebuild the economy in line with Vision 2030. He remains committed to this vision and to creating a better future for the people of Zimbabwe. The government will make sure that citizens are settled correctly, according to Dr. Muswere.

The Second Republic has constructed many homes around the country and granted land ownership to its residents through the Presidential Title Deeds Program. This initiative is an important step towards fulfilling the government's promise to provide safe and decent housing for all Zimbabweans.

President Mnangagwa has made it a priority to secure housing ownership for the previously disadvantaged citizens through the issuance of Presidential Title Deeds through the Deeds Office. This is an important step towards ensuring that all Zimbabweans have access to decent and safe housing."

According to Dr. Muswere, “securitized title deeds are now issued to residents by the Deeds Office, which has been digitalized and capacitated by the Second Republic”.

The creation of the National Housing and Social Amenities Ministry by President Mnangagwa demonstrates the government's commitment to ensuring that all citizens have access to quality housing nationwide. This is a vital step towards improving the standard of living for all Zimbabweans.

The government is working with various stakeholders, including the banking sector and the private sector, to ensure that all citizens have access to decent housing. This collaborative approach is critical to achieving the goal of providing quality housing for all Zimbabweans.

According to Dr. Muswere, “law enforcement agents have been capacitated and are working full throttle to arrest land barons.”
