inDrive Expands Its Reach in Zimbabwe with New Courier Services

inDrive has quickly established itself as a major player in Zimbabwe's ride-hailing market since its launch. While competitors have emerged, many locals still regard inDrive as the go-to option for getting around, whether in Harare or other cities like Bulawayo, Gweru, and Mutare.

Recently, inDrive announced the launch of its courier services in Harare, marking another step in its mission to provide comprehensive mobility solutions. This new service allows individuals and businesses to send packages safely and efficiently, using various delivery methods.

Courier Services Explained

The courier service offers flexibility in delivery options. Packages can be sent via car (up to 20 kg) or by bike, motorcycle, and foot couriers (up to 10 kg). While pricing varies based on the delivery method, users should keep in mind that the items shipped should be securely packed and valued at no more than $100. Prohibited items include alcohol, weapons, and medicines, so it’s essential to check the full list of restrictions before sending anything.

Using the service is straightforward: first, create an order by entering your pickup and drop-off addresses and selecting your preferred delivery method. Next, choose the best offer by picking a courier based on their ratings, price, and estimated delivery time. Once your order is placed, you can send and track your package in real-time until it arrives. Finally, don’t forget to rate your courier, as your feedback helps maintain quality service.

While inDrive provides a recommended fare for ride-hailing, there’s currently no such guidance for courier pricing. We’ll update with more information as it becomes available.

In addition to courier services, inDrive also offers intercity rides. Users can set their own fares and choose drivers, eliminating the hassle of bus schedules. This door-to-door service allows for complete flexibility, and riders can opt for private rides or share costs with others.

Kudzai Jeke, inDrive’s Country Representative in Zimbabwe, expressed enthusiasm about the expansion: “We are thrilled to expand our footprint in Zimbabwe. Our presence in key cities reflects our commitment to offering fair and accessible mobility solutions.”

As inDrive continues to grow, it aims to empower residents and businesses with greater convenience and opportunities for growth.
