Liquid C2, a subsidiary of Cassava Technologies, a Pan-African technology group, has entered into a landmark cloud deal with global giants Google Cloud and Anthropic. The partnership aims to provide advanced cloud, cybersecurity solutions, and generative artificial intelligence capabilities to African businesses.
Building on a Memorandum of Understanding signed last year for collaboration with Google Cloud in Africa, Liquid C2 plans to enhance cybersecurity measures and cloud offerings across the continent. The partnership will introduce African businesses to Google Cloud's latest AI, data, collaboration, and security solutions, ensuring heightened security measures and access to advanced cloud technologies.
Liquid C2 is poised to become one of Google Cloud's largest managed security service providers in Africa, leveraging Google Cloud's leading security solutions and Liquid C2's expertise in comprehensive security consulting. Additionally, the collaboration enables Liquid C2 to bring the capabilities of both Google Cloud and Anthropic's AI models to customers through Google Cloud's Vertex AI platform. This will facilitate the development and deployment of solutions within customers' cloud environments.
As part of the partnership, Liquid C2 will also deliver Google Workspace to customers across the continent, further expanding the range of services available to African businesses.
Moreover, Liquid C2 is directly collaborating with Anthropic to develop AI solutions for large enterprises, aiming to enhance productivity and revenue growth. Anthropic's family of foundational AI models, including Claude, which excels in dialogue, content creation, reasoning, creativity, and coding, will be available through Google Cloud's Vertex AI.
The partnership between Liquid C2 and Anthropic represents a shared commitment to empowering African businesses with state-of-the-art AI solutions. By integrating AI models and services across various industries, the collaboration aims to accelerate growth for clients and position Africa as a global player in the digital landscape. The application of gen AI to businesses in Africa, regardless of industry or organization size, presents significant opportunities for advancement.
