Liquid Allies with Global Tech Giants to Boost Cloud and Cybersecurity

Liquid Intelligent Technologies, a Pan-African technology company and subsidiary of Cassava Technologies, is expanding its strategic partnerships with leading global cybersecurity and cloud computing providers. This move is part of Liquid's focus on creating a digitally connected future and upgrading its business to achieve this goal.

Speaking during a media tour in Harare, Liquid's Complex Solutions Engineer, Robert Mutasa, highlighted the company's recent partnerships. On cloud services, Liquid has partnered with major providers like Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure. As an advanced tier and public sector partner of AWS, Liquid has a team of certified engineers and solutions architects to design and support cloud solutions for customers.

With Microsoft, Liquid is a Gold Partner, allowing it to provide Azure services, including the Azure Stack Hub, which brings the full functionality of Azure to Liquid's data centres in Zimbabwe.

In the area of cybersecurity, Liquid has partnered with Sophos, a British security software and hardware company, to provide firewall solutions that can secure customers' Wi-Fi networks from hacking. Mutasa emphasized that Liquid is not only focused on providing internet connectivity but also ensuring the security of customers' communications within their networks.

To address the human factor in cybersecurity, Liquid has implemented a program to train customers' users on cybersecurity risks on a monthly basis, recognizing that many security breaches are due to human error.

Lorreta Songola, Liquid's Regional Chief Commercial Officer for Central Africa, highlighted the company's extensive presence across the continent, with operations in more than 25 countries. In Zimbabwe, Liquid is the largest independent network provider, with a fiber broadband network covering over 110,000 km, of which 26,000 km is in the country. The company is the biggest internet access provider in Zimbabwe, with over 80% market share in terms of network capacity.

Liquid's vision is to create a digitally connected future that leaves no African behind. The company continues to provide customized digital solutions to public and private sector enterprises, small and medium enterprises, and individuals through its Liquid Home brand across the continent.
